Deep condolences to Ann and to Wayne’s brother Fred, Sister Martha Jean and all the nieces and nephews and Wayne’s beloved family. Though we were “new’ friends, Wayne’s kindness and gentle spirit became part or our lives too. My husband also a Wayne, also a CPA , also initially with one of the big 8, also Methodist with a brother Fred, always had plenty to share when our paths crossed. The brightness he brought to Ann and to all our lives is a light that continues to glow, as is his grace and courage.

Uncle Wayne was truly a great man. One of my favorite traditions growing up was staying with him and my Aunt Becky in Atlanta a few days before Christmas. Every Christmas Eve morning he would bravely venture out with three young girls, my cousin Jenny, sister Lauren, and I, to eat breakfast at I HOP before packing up and traveling south back home on Christmas Eve.
